FLuidSynthGUI is a synthesizer based on FluidSynth Sofware Synthesizer. You can use it as a sofware synthesizer attached to your midi input.
You can also redirect the output from a MIDI application such as Band In A Box or Cubase, or anything else and render the sound using FluidSynth, thanks to drivers like MidiJoke.
